A
dental implant is a substitute for the tooth root, providing
a stable foundation for all manner of dental restorations.
The implant is anchored in the jaw bone and forms a
biological bond. Implants provide a solution to tooth loss
in which you have complete confidence.
Provided that individual medical and anatomical conditions
are met there is no upper age limit at which implants can be
used, they are flexible in that they can be used to close
large and small gaps. In all cases quality and quantity of
bone tissue will be carefully evaluated before implants are
placed.
Prospective patients can visit directly or be referred by
their regular dental practitioner, but before any patient is
recommended for implants by the TAO team they will be given
a thorough oral examination including x-rays of the jaw
bone.
